i've got the spirit. i'm losing feeling.

i think the heavens are telling me to step back and relax.

last night, i went to Phenomenology.
i'm not enrolled in the class, i just love the teacher and the subject.
i decided to sit in on it when i found out Nikita (one of my few and far between friends on campus) was planning the same.
we both took it two years ago.
yesterday, when i ran into Nikita, she told me she was taking a semester off.
drag.
Phenomenology will still be fun to re-take, though.
Sarah Dillon and Aaron Blickenstaff are in my class.
i know people.

i bought a microwave 4-cheese quesadilla and an orange cream blue sky soda then headed back to my room.
i had this great plan of watching an episode of The Wire and enjoying the quesadilla before i went to bed early.
had to wake up at 5:00, you know.
when i got to the room (this is at about 9:15pm) the lights were off and Adriel was snoring.
day one and it's already downhill.
i went to the commons room and watched some Scrubs while i ate my decent dinner.
then it was to the shower and in bed by 10:30.
i didn't fall asleep until after 12:30.
and i kept waking up through the night.

i had a dream that these creepy little flesh eating bugs from space landed in my neighborhood.
they wrecked some cars and hid in a tree (there were so many inside the tree that it looked like the tree was alive and moving).
they swarmed at Tim and mom. my dad and i were down the street.
i said to my dad "you know what they're doing?! we have to go." and hopped in a jeep.
my dad said "i know. they're eating them alive. it's not like i can live without your mother." and he wouldn't leave.

i woke up 2 minutes before my alarm and reset it for 5:45.
woke up again and went through the morning routine.
i walked outside to the covered walkway and could hear it was still freezing rain.
no big deal, i'm wearing my hooded flannel.
then, i got to the door that leads out of the dorms and to campus itself.
Goucher is completely frozen.
everything is ice.

i came back to my room, praying that the internet was working.
it was, and classes don't start today until 11:30am.
that means no Cryptology, no French, and no running across the entire campus to get from one to the other.
i was so stressed about today.
i'm going back to bed.
